A meeting was held regarding the Turkish language learning and language proficiency of foreign students coming to Artvin Çoruh University. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Sıtkı BİLGİN, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Murat KİBAR, General Secretary Assoc. Dr. Muhammed ARDIÇ, TÖMER Director Prof. Dr. Vafa SAVAŞKAN, Foreign Relations Application and Research Center Director Dr. Lec. Hakan GÜLTEKİN, Head of Student Affairs Department Mustafa Ünver SABUNCU and International Student Office Responsible Lec. Ercan SOYSAL attended the meeting. At the meeting, the need for AÇÜ TÖMER to operate more actively and to open Turkish language courses for all foreign students enrolled in our university was discussed. At the meeting, our Rector also touched upon the importance of foreign students for our University and stated that all Departments should open at least 3 foreign student quotas. The meeting, where mutual ideas and suggestions were shared, was concluded after all agenda items were discussed.
