A visit was made to our University by the Turkish Maarif Foundation Student Affairs Department to discuss issues related to International Students and Internationalization. The visit was made by Muhammet KURT on behalf of the Maarif Foundation Student Affairs Department.

The meeting was attended by the Head of Student Affairs from our University, Mustafa Ünver SABUNCU, the Director of the Student Affairs Branch, Süleyman ÇELİK and International Student Office responsible Lec. Ercan SOYSAL.

Muhammet KURT from the Turkish Maarif Foundation stated that he made such a visit to us for general acquaintance. He also stated that the Turkish Maarif Foundation is the only organization authorized to open educational institutions directly on behalf of the Republic of Turkey, other than the Ministry of National Education, and that it is a public foundation established to carry out effective activities at every stage of education from pre-school to higher education in every country.

At the meeting, the current situation of the Turkish Maarif Foundation, the increasing number of schools and students, the Foreign Student situation of Artvin Çoruh University, new regulations and situations where mutual assistance can be provided were discussed.

It was stated that Artvin Çoruh University's doors are wide open to all foreign students who come to our country to receive higher education.
