On November 6, 2025, Mustafa EFE, Head of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) International Relations Department, and the University International Student Offices held a follow-up meeting regarding the residence and registration procedures of international students.

The meeting addressed topics related to the new process. It was stated that registration by proxy would continue as before. It was emphasized that registration could be carried out with private health insurance without general health insurance. It was also stated that students who failed to pay tuition fees and register for courses for one consecutive year at vocational schools or two consecutive years at other departments would have their registrations cancelled. Issues and problems encountered with the Immigration Administration were also discussed, along with areas requiring improvement and correction. The meeting proceeded in a question-and-answer format.

The meeting, which lasted approximately two and a half hours, concluded with discussions of questions and suggestions from International Student Office staff.
