A Cooperation Protocol on Residence Permit Applications of International Students was signed between our Presidency of YÖK and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Directorate of Immigration Management, on 15 November 2023.

In this context, an online information meeting was held at universities with the participation of YÖK and the Directorate of Immigration Management on 29.11.2023 at 10:00 regarding current practices regarding residence procedures and procedures for international students.

Ercan SOYSAL, International Student Office responsible from Artvin Çoruh University, Foreign Relations Office Coordinator Hakan GÜLTEKİN and Student Affairs Department Head Mustafa Ünver SABUNCU attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the roles and responsibilities of Universities in Turkey within the scope of the new protocol and the procedures that should be carried out in coordination with the Provincial Immigration Administrations were discussed.

At the end of the meeting, the questions and answers of the University International Student Office officials to YÖK and Immigration Administration were discussed.
