Under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the ‘Youth Policy Document Vision Workshop’ was held by the Artvin Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports. Youth policies are strategic practices that support young people to become active and participatory individuals in social, economic and cultural areas and aim to contribute to the sustainable development of society.
At the opening ceremony of the workshop, which was also attended by our University Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Sıtkı Bilgin, Artvin Governor Dr. Turan Ergün stated that he believed this event would greatly contribute to the development of policies based on the needs of young people and to their becoming a strong part of the social structure.
Stating that young people are the dynamic and innovative power of society and that their energy, enthusiasm, creativity and potential play a critical role in shaping the future, Governor Ergün expressed his belief that the workshop will accelerate the work that supports the development of young people and thanked everyone who contributed to the program.
The workshop addresses ideas under 11 themes: ‘Disaster management and resilience’, ‘Environment and climate’, ‘Science and technology’, ‘Values’, ‘Education and lifelong learning’, ‘Youth health, ‘Youth information’, ‘Employment and entrepreneurship’, ‘Participation and civil society’, ‘Social inclusion’ and ‘International studies’.
The workshop was also attended by the AÇÜ External Relations Application and Research Center Erasmus Office and the International Student Office.
